Welcome to the Old Spanish Trail Association Records. The Old Spanish Trail (OST) Association was a group of community leaders from towns and cities along the Old Spanish Trail automobile route that stretched from St. Augustine, Florida to San Diego, California by way of San Antonio, Texas. The association formed to promote the development of a motorable highway throughout the South as a spur to local development. The archives of the Association include reports and memoranda, membership books, minutes, correspondence, clippings, brochures, and books published by the Association in pursuit of its objective to facilitate tourism in their locales.

This archive was made possible in part with a grant from Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities in addition to a grant from the Council of Independent Colleges with support from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
