San Afibonio, Texas, February 21st, 1932 Mr . H. B. Ayres, Mobile, Alabama Dear Mr. Ayres:- I received your letter to Mr. colp this morning and certainly think you are performing wonders in Alabama} in fact all the eastern country. Of course I am not familiar with that country but I am satisfied with the matter in your hands, everything will come out on top. I am enclosing you a letter that I just received from Percy Tyreil and I suppose unless we do something pretty soon for him that he will be jumping on to me just a little bit harder than this. But there is no money coming in here. In fact a check that the Rips Transfer people gave us for §35 was returned to us marked N.S.F. In regard to the bulletin; we had a little trouble getting them off the press, but I suppose by now you have received /250 I send over to youpnd hope you will like them. I figured up the cost of paper and Miss Huey’s time on running them off on the mimeograph and including the postage they cost us less money to have them printed than if Miss Huey had printed them. The postage rate, of course, being cheaper. If it is possible to rustle enough railroad fare I think I will try and run over there and be at your meeting on March 20th. Can't say positively because I don't know how the finances are going to run, but if it is possible for me to spare the money I will certainly make a trip over there and assist you in any way I can, except making a sp3dch. Not much more that would be of interest to you. Colp has gone to Austin today and goes down to Laredo tomorrow, and we will try and hold things together until you return. Very truly yours. FBJ:AH
