Dear Sir: The members of this Association learn with much concern that there is a possibility of a movement developing at the New Orleans Convention of the Old Spanish Trail, to remove the headquarters of your association from the City of San Antonio. ' Vie feel this would be a serious mistake for many reasons and particularly because the movement for the b'uilding of the Trail had its inception in San Antonio and this city has had the honor of leading this movement since its beginning. In addition San Antonio, as the oldest Spanish city, is the logical headquarters for the Trail organization; it also comes very near to being the geographical center of the territory covered by the Trail. We wish to assure your organization of our deep interest in the work that you are doing and. we shall take much pleasure in commending the Association and its work to our membership in the hope that the citizens of San Antonio will continue to give the •work adequate financial assistance by membership subscriptions, and we feel that you should have no hesitancy in assuring the Convention that our city will do its full duty along this line V in the future. Trusting you will be successful in retaining your headquarters in this city where it rightfully belongs, and with best wishes for the continued advancement of the Old Spanish Trail, we remain. # Very truly yours, SAN ANTONIO AUTOMOBILE TRADES ASSOCIATION, President.
