A resolution on this subject was submitted, which with other resolutions wars referred to the Committee on Resolutions for report and recommendation. Announcement was made that the delegatee would be entertained as the guests of Gulfport with a drive along the Coast to Biloxi, leaving ths Great Southern Hotel at 7: CO P. LI., and that at Biloxi the citizens -of that place would entertain with a dance at the VJhite House- Pavilion. There being no further business before the convention, it then at 5:30 P. I The delegatee were called to order at great•Southern Hotel, Gulfport, Mississippi, at 10:00 A. M. , January 39, 1921, with Mayor Frank Sutcer, ?.*bc Christian, Mlosimippi, presiding. Roll Cell of ccentiee was led by Managing Director Harral B. Ayr'ee, San Antonio, Texas, resulting in following reports being nude: K. G. Hoffman, Pensacola, Florida, reported to the convention the double loop shown on the \:ap of the trail should be abolished and the trail bo routed directly through Pensacola, Florida. After debate participated *ir. by Delegates Hoffman, Pensacola, Florida; ZolezsiJ. Mobile, Alabama, and Managing Director Ayres, and it being shown that Pensacola,and contiguous territory were caring for their part of the trail, the motion duly seconded, carried. H. G. Hoffman, Pensacola, Florida, then moved that the literature of the Association, read "Florida to California" instead of "California to Florida" as heretofore." It war shown that historically the course of settlement had been westward and aloo that the trail project had commenced in the East and pushed westward. The motion was seconded and carried. for Florida.
