Shall IDe Celebrate? The Old Spanish Trail workers and the highway officials have put over a big work. Now they should celebrate their success. St. Augustine is erecting a monument to mark the beginning of the Old Spanish Trail in that ancient city. They want to dedicate it April 1029 in connection with their Ponce de Leon Festival The Spanish Government has appointed official delegates. United States officials will be there, and also national leaders. A motorcade, it is hoped, will start from San Diego, California, with cars to join all along the way. If the people will go by auto they will see ajl the great public and private developments between St. Augustine and San Diego, and they can spread over the Nation the story of their works and of the attractions of these Southern Borderlands. Tt will he a big undertaking to put over hut Old Spanish Trail people should now want to properly dedicate this work, and also to fix national attention on this country. A convention in connection with the celebration could plan for attracting more travel, investment and homeseeking, elect new officers and decide upon future policies.
