The enclosed letter is being sent to the Texas editors. It is self explanatory. If the Old Spanish Trail is to be re-named or in way seriously interfered with the work will be abandoned so far as we here are concerned. It shoxild not be allowed to fail now for everything is moving wonderfully well in all of the states. There will be lots of good news of rapid progress this year if -the work is let alone.
