Fletcher, in which you advised being careful about Francis, I went to tho Southern Trust Comerce Bank, on a chance that he had cashed a check there, and found conditions as stated above. Since no word had boon received from the Tampa bank, and Col. Fletcher also received or letter from your President, Hr. Johnston, confirming tho appointment of Francis to represent Jou, no action was taken by the bank. On October 4, the check from Francis was received by the Southern Trust & Commerce Bank marked "pot sufficient funds."
