OFFICES Title Insurance Building ENTRANCE 52 ST JOSEPH STREET IN REPLY PLEASE REFER TO Ur. Harral B. Ayres, Managing Director, Old Spanish Trail, San Antonio, Texas. My dear Ur. Ayros: ’.Veil, wo had a great trip along the coast. I have. Been intending to write you about it, but an unusual pressure of work, largely duo to the fact that I am preparing to leave tomorrow on a much needed vacation, prevented me from giving you the details in which I know you to be interested. Fortunately, Lleigs 0. Frost, a feature writer on the New Orleans States, has done full justice to the meetings in the too newspapers, which I am sending you by this mail, under separate covor. He has told the story well. Vory naturally he plays up New Orleans, and we of Mobile are glad he has done so, since his stories contribute considerably in paving the way to bring strong support from that city. The object in putting over tto resolution at Bay St. Louis, calling the next conference for Hew Orleans was to enlist the active work of the New Orleans people, and I believe you will agree with me that it '.vas a great move. V/e can have a big Spanish Trail Meeting there in the attendance of the governors and highway officials of all the states, or even the majority through which the trail passes. I am of the opinion that it won't be long before construction is started all along the line. You are the best judge of when that conference should bo held. Sot the date, fooling that you can rely upon a representative MEMBER OF CHAMBER or COMMERCE UNITED STATES or AMERICA NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS August 26th, 1922.
