7'y dear Stewart In a couple of days I'll send you a 1)00’' that ’.'ill "mere •rood" on the following story which, if you can consistently do so, I would like to see in the "Bulletin", It certainly will interest those working for the O.S.T. to learn that maps and pictures of the highway are being sent throughout the country—at no expense to those living along the route. Harry. Y/e are just in receipt of what appears to be the handsomest and most complete general road guide published. It is the Illustrated 1917 edition of Locke's Good Road Laps of Local and Transcontinental Automobile Routes, while many important highways are included, we note that every detail of the Old Spanish Trail from Los ,fngeles to Tampa and Hi ami have been given especial consideration. A large folded map is of especial interest as it indicates all of the north and south feeders to the Old Spanish Trail from Florida to California'. The cover is gold lettered. The entire 216 pages contain maps and Touring Information of the utmost value and it all is cleverly arranged so as to be of the greatest practical benefit to motorists, ’altogether there are nearly 500 pictures many of which portray attractive scenes along the routes ord others show the character of road construction. There is no question but. that the distribution of these books will stimulate travel over the Old Spanish Trail, as it is just what strangers and tourists need. The publisher, Harry Locke of Los Angeles, is yield Engineer of this Association and we congratulate him on this latest achievement in the interest of Good Roads and the motorists who use them.
