Dear Madam: In reply to your favor of the 25th instant, wherein you inquiry concerning the laws of Nebraska pertaining to the use of advertising along the public highway, we direct your attention to Section 8349, Compiled Statutes, 1922, as amended by House Roll 409, Chapter 159» Session Laws, 1923, which provides that no advertising signs shall be placed along or upon any public road or highway within three hundred feet of a railroad crossing or within three hundred feet of the intersection of any two crossroads of the public highway at grade, or upon any stats highway at any other point without a written permit from the Department of Public Y/orks.
