Your communication of June 30th addressed to Mr. Yeager has been referred to me for reply and I note with a great deal of interest what you say r-bout Glacier to Gulf Highway and I find additional to your letter a little map which I had seen in some one of the newspapers.
I am pleased to get this information on this Highway and would he more pleased to get a little further advise on what is being done *ith it. I have known for some time of a promotion known as the Glacier to Gulf Highway and presume that I have in the past seen maps of it hut have never definitely got in touch with officials of the organization. So as you are working along this line if you find anything that will he of interest to me in any way in my work will he pleased to have it.
I note however, that-Austin north ismentioned as president of this Gulf to Glacier Highway, he has heen for some time, if he is not yet, in ^an Antonio and I have always considered Mr. North a very sensible man, hut it may he that he is not posted on the duplication of work which came from that promotion and if he were approached hy you, I believe you would find him a very agreeable man.
So far as their connection with our Highway is concerned it /if£fffiStvour routing for some little distance or rather I might say we follow theirs, it is impossible for me to tell which was established first, otherwise they have no connection whatsoever with the National Park to park Highway Association, which is purely a public spirited organization, carrying through a campaign which we think would he of some benefit to the western part of the United States as a whole.
