Good roads builders and enthusiasts are expected from many states. Several prominent men and officials have been Invited, In addition to the two thousand invitations that will be sent out to other cities along the route of -the trail from Florida to California. Those specially Invited are President Woodrow Wilson, David F. Hudson, secetary of agriculture; Governor Sidney J. Catts; W. A. McRae, commissioner of agriculture, of Florida; 0Sonator John H. Bankhead, of Alabama; W. S. Keller, State Highway engineer of Alabama; W. F. Cocke, State Highway commissioner of Florida; Logan Waller Page, United States department of roads and engineering; Charles Henry Davis, president of the National Highway Association; Henry Ford, Detroit. The Old Spanish Trail Highway, being .on the Southern border of the United States, from ocean to ocean, is likely to be one of the most important military highways of our country, and it Is the desire to make the Old’ Spanish Trail Association convention the greatest road convention ever held in the South to stimulate Interest in hastening the completion of the highway and necessary bridges along the route. It is expected that President Wilson will send a personal representative. The scout car boosting and advertising the convention and the Old Spanish Trail will start Westward on the trip to Houston, Texas, April 23rd, stopping at principal cities and towns for meetings in the Interest of the project.
