PEARCE Mr* Harold B« Ayres, Old Spanish Trail, San Antonio, Texas* Bear Friend:- Tuesday and Wednesday found me on the Gulf Coast with a representative from each of the New Orleans newspapers assisting in the "boosters trip originated bj~ the Mobile Chamber of Commerce. Doubtless you have heard all about this trip from your good friends in Mobile. However, the thing that I want to ash you about is the four state conference which was voted to be held here next year. As I remember our meeting was held sometime during March. What do you suggest as to the best time for the meeting here? Senator Craft has his heart set on a big meeting and desires to invite the Governors and Highway Commissioners of the four western states to meet us at that time. I believe that we can work up a big meeting and get something done worth while. As ever, let me hear from you on this subject. 2Ul'” Ajtj/- _ "Bo fi. Fleming, MEMBER OF
