If the rains would let up so we could get over the road from Mathis to Houston I could get in enough money to take care cf the emergencies here and keep everything going in good shape. It cleared up Friday with a norther and I felt sure that we would have three or four days without rain and I commenced making my plans comin home to-start on the Houston trip this afternoon, but yesterday morning"when I got up it was raining. They had a big rain in Ft. lend County Saturday night and the trip is off again.
If things are going good down there and you are getting the money why don't you wire Or, Johnston to meet you at New Orleans or Mobile or somewhere down there and you and he get together and settle your troubles. Me has railroad transportation and it wouldn't cost him much to go down there. We can't hope to get very far unless you and he can work together.
