RESCLVFD, that we the people of ti e Gulf Coast of the States of Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Loui siana, petition and urge the Congress of the United States to continue the program of appropriating §100,000,000 anually for federal aid to highway building. Hie highway program in all states suffers from the present uncertainty. The people are aroused and reedy to cooperate with their own local aid n.d support to bring about completion of the national trunkline highways but the undertaking is so igantic they must be put in a position to plan their work for years ahead with the assurance their plans can b© cal ried out. V/e further urge upon the Congress that the present state of unemployment in the United States, and the condition of so many of our honored er-service men demand the greatest possible chance for work be afforded them that the congress can provide.
