Enclosed I am pleased to send you letter from Congress man J. J. Mansfield. I am taking up the matter with leading citizens along the Trail, and we should have no trouble getting strong influence to bear upon the Commission.
Am very much pleased over the carrying of the Fort Bend County bond issue, this will provide for everything in the East Texas Div. with the exception of the 8 miles ?/est of Elatonia. Since the change in the method of maintenance, I hold little hope for any improvement until anote her administration comes in. Had been promised a passable road under any c ondition.
