I do not know who the president or the directors are o? the Crowley Chamber of Commerce. The false statements of B. Gill is putting out is a serious thing for any one to put out. They are absolutely false. *5ho Stestc.ia*-ticn of Commerce is also being involved in this.
We of course will not allow such statement to go unchallenged. We do not wish to involve the Crowley Association of Commerce or Crowley people unless they are behind this also. The Crowley Association of Commerce or Rrowley people can clear themselves by repudiating all responsibility foi' such statements, and effectively separating the Crowley association from W, B. Gill in this matter.
I enclose copy of letter respecting West Texas wherein the claims of West Texas disloyalty are branded as false.
This disposes of the Texas situation, for the two persons from West Texas present at the Houston meeting did not know the purpose of the call. Ho other member wns present from Texas.
