My dear Sir: T received your letter .of the 8th inst. and with it another one ii-c - of the 25th of February, and several others addressed to you. In all of them referring to the Old Spanish Trail. First, let me say that this affair interests.me very much for all the relation that there—is w-i-th—propaganda referable to our country and history^and I am ready to follow the activities of thos“gentlemen with all my attention, much more so when they have decided to use the Spanish cost of arms in colors in connection *ith. this idea.v But before get-ing in communication with His Majesty's Government I need to know with more detail the program of the ceremonies and what place or position will be given to the representative of Spain; where are the ceremonies -going to be held; in what automobiles will the trip to San Diego take place and for this excursion what other official representatives will be on this trip? ^ \ .^v} I also neet^to know how may^ days will be necessary for the absence of the Ambassador from Washington. Is the question of accommodation already taken care of and also other rqi@istions of economic character concerning trips, etc. and also of course the date of the ceremonies, if it is only approximately. I pray you to answer to all the foregoing in order to be able to translate the proposition to my Government. May God ward and watch pver you many years.
