In a week believe he will gain experience go ahead and complete El Paso section and Pratt c m go on Del Rio section. Prof. T. A. Munson, A &M College, has been recalled from El Paso section. He was not succeeding* due to limited time. Ed F. Shumway, Lake Charles, has been employed to got out Louisiana Service Map. He is highly recommended by Lake Charles officials. R. B. Thompson is just finishing membership work in Alabama. Thompson discharged York, the route marker and. employed L,. A< Hughes. York cost us 02.47 per nils to mark Louisiana. This was excessive. Thompson has no ability to handle the Service Map work. He is improving in his membership work and is rendering a lot of good, conscientious service , Host of the field men show a tendency to dodge the difficult situations. The route marker is paid 040.00 per week, furnishes his own car and pays own expenses. Field men pay their expenses and furnish their own car, and are allowed 043.00 per week salary aid 08.00 per. day expenses when on the road - total 075.00. All these allowances are too low, but the men are loyally trying to pull the work thru. Two office girls are employed at 0100.00 per month.Bo*h doing good work. Mrs. Orem is keeping the books and records, and trying to keep up with reports and service to members. Mrs. Broach handles the stenographic and other office work. Everybody is always at work and we are never caught up. The convention minutes are still unprepared. The History booklet still unprepared. Hill cost 0300.00 The v7omen's work is still unorganized. A membership service department is needed - member3 complain they seldom hear from us.
