Son Antonio, Texas, May 7th, 1925. Mr. J. G. Baumgarten, OST Director, Sohulenburg, Texas. Deor Mr. Baumgarten: thanks for yours of the 6th. I spent two days in Austin last v/eek. Could not even get a decent hearing. Their attitude was arbitrary and unconcerned. So X came back and started putting out those letters. Your suggestion that towns should have the right to choose their own name is a specially good thought and correct, but the difficulty is knowing to whom to write and how to get action in those towns. Can you get action in your division? The general opinion around Houston was that the Roundtree convention was of little value. Very few delegates attended the meetings. The important people in Houston told me they were sorry to have gotten tied up to it. Hope you get the Rosenberg election over all right. I am trying to get into West Texas. Hope this covers the questions in your mind. With kindest regards, X am Sincerely, . H. B. Ayres, OST Managing Director. HBA/b enc. cy. J It.
