Car Dear Mr. Peck: Mr. Ayres is directed to go to Mobile under the instruction of the Executive Board to give attention to matters in Mobile. Our Mr. Thompson has been in Mobile and that district since about July 2nd. His salary and expenses for that period amount to nearly $700.00. In addition the salary and expenses of the route marker run into another hundred or more dollars. Inasmuch as Mobile and the Alabama towns have not yet put any money to our credit, you can realize these expenses are burdensome and we have been compelled to bring them in some way to/'stop. Mr. Ayres is clothed with authority- by the Executive Board to do whatever seems wisest after conference with you and other leaders in Mobile. The members of the Executive Board here in 3an Antonio send their compliments to you, and desire to state that the Board meets in weekly session and all financial and other affairs of the organization are handled subject to the direction of this Board, At all times advices and suggestions from you as president ore not only invited but will be appreciated.
