Thomas H. McDonald is director of the office of Good Hoads who is the head of the Federal ^id engineering Department at Washington.
I forgot to say it would be well to have Underwood or Heflin or v/ho ever has influence to introduce you to the Secretary of War and show the importance of connecting the bridge between the highlands of Mobile and Baldwin Counties as you remember Major lorth of the Department of Engineers, talked in Mobile as to the importance of this as a war measure.
