X as leaving Friday for San Antonio, then intend to he at Jacksonville May 37 th in conference with the Okas her of Coar.eroe and the Automobile Club arid otlrors, by appointment, on Bast Florida questions; then will go to Washington, where I hope to develop nore attention to Old Spanish Trail construction thru this section, Would rather not have any publication of the purpose of this Washington trip.
You know rsy desire is to develop the Florida situation so that we break around the gulf from Tallahassee thru Perry to Tampa, thereby giving Pest Florida an independence over East Florida.
Mobile has qualified with her full quota of membership. The Pensacola Chamber of Commerce has guaranteed theirs. I hope, therefore, that v/e get everything worked out so that before long I can sit down with you again and we can go ahead with our plans respecting Meat Florida. I feel safe to begin these as soon as Pensacola and Milton shall have qualified.
