April 1Oth-1932. Dear Harral:- // I am returning your manuscript. Perhaps I am not much of a critic, hut I don't see any fault to find with it. It is extremely interesting, and with the cuts and maps you are pit ting in, should make an appeal to people. You can t go into much detail in a short history, and I think you have givenli good picture of the whole. The detail will follow in the long book. As to theATustory of the modern A Spanish Trail, there may bo a lot of people who would not be at all interested, but I do think it should be included. It meant nearly fifteen years of struggle and work to bring it about, and the story should be preserved. People who buy the \ book for the other need not read it if they are not especially Interested in that part. Perhaps it could be cut a little, but don't leave it out by any means. I often leave out portions o|/books I read which d^ not especially appeal to me, although that very part may be the most interesting to other people. Mother feels the same way about t. Thanks for sending it over. I hopo I dldnt keep it too long. Garret Foley was up hero the other day, and looked it over. He said he wanted to put in an order when they were ready. I Managed to get in one day at the Federation Convention and saw a place that has Hairnet's skinned sixty ways, though any one with the money these people had to put into it could have done it. It is the Belliggrath summer home down on Fowl River south of Mobile. It is the show place, not very old, Put very beautiful, with thousands of azaleas all sizts \
