Likewise, a preliminary draft of the Mississippi map is at hand showing the Gulf Road from the Alabama line to Logtown as secondary. I have an appointment to be in Jackson July 6th for a preliminary general consideration of the map before it is finally submitted, and I expect to take up ipost seriously the question of reclassification on this road, if there is any possibility of securing sufficient mileage from other parts of the State, which should be possible. I have wired Ft'. Worth and have just learned that the Louisiana system has been submitted by State and recommended by the District, classifying the road from Dew Orleans to Logtown via Slidell as primary. This action of Louisiana, and the fact that the section of road between the Mississippi line and Mobile is already submitted as primary, will be of much assistance in the Mississippi case. I have definitely requested of Florida that the road from Pensacola to the vicinity of Dunez bridge should be classified as primary, and the State has already complied with such request to the end that project statement for first project between Pensacola and Nunez bridge has gone forward to Washington. I will be very glad to see you in Montgomery when you return from Washington, and would request that #2.
