He threw us ''down'. i’Jiis let him out Will Devote Entire Time to Jacksonville Dealers’ Body—Successor Not Named. © I-Iis full time demanded by the Jack sonville Automobile Dealers’ Association, of which .he has been secretary for some time, B. O. Riddle yesterday resigned the post of managing director of the Jacksonville Automobile club. The resignation becomes effective immediately. Mr. Riddle said. He will assume full time duties with the dealers’ association Monday morning, temporarily establishing offices in Room 20-1, Hill building. An early meeting of the governors of the Jacksonville Automobile club will be called by F. O. Miller, president, to decide on filling the post made -vacant by Mr. Riddle’s resignation. This meeting probably will be hold during the first part of next week. Mr. Riddle declared his deep regret at the combination of circumstances which made it necessary for him to resign from active connection with the automobile club. However, he will continue as a member of the club’s board of governors. “Fior. some time I have .been secretary of the. dealers’ association," he said last night, “and my connection with that organization having held priority to my active connection with the automobile cliib. I naturally felt bound to accede to the wishes of the dealers. A dealer myself, it is natural that my greatest interest should be in the affairs of the dealers’ organization and as this body is planning an increased and extended field of activities immediately and called on me to devote my full time to that work, I felt bound by duty to accept. “The work of the automobile club Is of great importance and I shall continue to lend whatever assistance I can to the development, of that body. My work with the club has been entirely pleasant and it is with deep regret that T found it necessary to choose between the two organizations. Mv successor in the club direction will certainly have the benefit of any experience I may have had that will benefit him, for I expect to . aid in the development and the growth.of the club in every way possible. The club deserves the, support of every motorist , in Duval countv and it has accomplished a great work on behalf of the motorists and the general public."
