Smith, 114 Gunter Hotel, San Antonio, Texas, Dear Madam: Your favor of March 4th addressed to the Honorable Attorney General of this .State has been referred to this Department for reply and we take pleasure in handing you herewith two copies of two separate laws bearing upon the subject of advertising. One, you will note, provides against advertising within the limits of the public highway except immediately in front of the premises where the goods advertised are offered for sale and also against placing signs on private property without the consent of the owner. The other law provides against placing signboards in such a manner as to cause a hazard to traffic and provides that all signboards of over four square feet in area must be licensed.
