I heg to acknowledge receipt of your favor of the 25th relative to Mr. R. B. (Dick) Thompson.
In reply wish to say that I have knowm Mr. Thompson for quite a number of years, most of which time he was employed in a responsible position under my Jurisdiction.	While	I	have	not
been in close touch with him during the past several years, it is my sincere belief that he is fundamentally honest and faithful, and I consider him to be a man of intelligence and judgment. Personally I do not question that he will faithfully carry out any commission entrusted to him, and feel sure that if he is fairly instructed as to the policy and wishes of his employers he may be relied upon to carry the same out with fidelity and judgment.
