MCDONALD HART CHINN Since last writing we have been visited by the Tallahassee Convention car which was given arousing reception here, being met at f^rry and later escorted to the Mis^ issippi Line after meeting* Reception all along the way seems to have been most enthusiastic and from information that has reached us it will be the same the balance of the way. For the first time since Organization Headquarters is in receipt of the kind of information that it would like to got every week, covering the whole Spanish Trail from Ocean to Ocean* Information at hand covers only Tallahassee to New Orleans, and was sent by the Convention car in the form of post cards. Pensacola to Fairhope (via Lillian Ferry) is poor but people enthusiastic.(This is not the route of "The Old Spanish Trail at present). From Mobile to Pascagoula is fair with one bad stretch of sand (due to roads bein g prepared for hardsur-f acing). From Pascagoula to Biloxi is good. From Biloxi to Gulfport is fine-right along the Coastal though not ^uite finished. Fro m Gulfport to Pass Christian is good. From Pass Christian to B^y St. Louis is a good sand road, From Bay St. Louis to Slidell is good. From Slidell to Mandeville is good. From Milneburg to l-Tew Orleans is good. The above omits Fairhope to Mobile and Mandeville to Milneburg, both of which are ferries.
