- 3 - next Sunday and will continue to give us a page each Sunday with pictures until the convention. I succeeded in getting (Fapt. Fauntleroy to accept the Border Highway from El Paso to Sanderson and he will recommend its acceptance to Losh and McCrory, so I have gotten that in good shape, and was able to cover it without the additional expense of the trip out there. We have it all accepted now except from Sanderson to Laredo and I am positive it will be accepted just as soon as I can get time to make the trip with Fauntleroy, Losh, McCrory and Col. Jadwin. I wrote you a short letter from El Paso but didn't get in any of these details, and I haven't time to give you a complete report, but will be able to give you the balance of it in the next two or three days.. I am sending a copy of this letter to Mobile figuring that you are just as liable to be in Mobile as you are to be in Washington. The Hotel found your laundry that was lost and we will send it to Mobile. Mr* Shreve has been doing a mightygood business on his El Paso work. The marking was worse than you ana I thoughtit was. I gave him instructions to double up on the marking, but I over-took him at El Paso and told him to ignore my first instructions and make it the best marked highway in Texas. I want it marked from El Paso So San Aptonio like the K.T. is marked thru San Antonio. I am enclosing you a few of the letterheads to Washi rgton and sending you a package to Mobile. I think your work in connection with the Dixie Highway was about like drar Brownsvill e project, only your bunch didn't pull out and leave town, but you seem to have gotten everything you wanted and then some. We still have lots of rain here. Yours very truly. DEC: AH
