MINUTES OP MEETING} OP THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OP THE OLD SPANISH TRAIL HELD AT A LUNCHEON, ROOM 112, GUNTER HOTEL, SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS, AUGUST 20, at 12:15 P. M. 1. The meeting was called to.order by the Chairman, 2. Those present were Messrs. Wimer, Tyrrell and Ayres. Mr. Walthall still absent in New York. 3. No Disbursement Sheet stxbmitted. 4. The minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. 5. Reports were submitted showing difficulties men in West Texas were having because of the destructive letters and promisee made last year. Mr. Tyrrell reported he had explained matters to the board of directors of Chamber of Commerce, and had asked that due investigation be made of the Old Spanish Trail affairs. Mr. Tyrrell stated letters were being prepared covering these matters. It v/as the opihion of all members that the destructive practices last year were proving too serious to be overcome except with the complete cooperation of San Antonio at this time. 6. Managing Director reported that the supply of Service Maps were rapidly becoming exhausted. The popular demand has exceeded all expectation. 7. The Joint Jubilee gathering of the people of Kerrville and Junction was discussed. The Chairman and the Managing Director expressed their intention of attending. Mr. Tyrrell offered cooperation to get a feature story in the Express. 8. The meeting adjourned to more fully consider the Texas situation next week. Chairman
