Your valued favor of the 5th. inst. recieved ashing for information regarding the road along the teach from Biloxi to Bass Christian. /T/e teg to advise that the road has teen restored to it former beautiful condition from Biloxi to a point 2 miles be'yond long Beach, and there is at out one mile between Long Beach aid _ Pas,:, Christian that has not teen s'nelied; But the road parrall to the /V. Seaextends from Long Beach to Bass Christian is in good oonditi-ion for automobile traveling.
The county hoard has recieved 1480.000 from the sale of bonds for constructing a permenant boulevard along the teach from Biloxi to Bass Christian and protect same by a sioaping teach, construction as reccommeMed by the county engineer and approved by a noted engineer of Hew Orleans as well as by a very competent , engineer employed by the Government. I was at Pascagoula last 'Saturday tn d was informed by l,ir Lewis that by. the first of Augystuie bridge across the Pascagoula river would ve finished'when this is done 1 wait Gulfport, the Gulf coast and Mobile to all'celebrate this event in the proper manner and I think if at Pascagouls shall be the place for this event.
