R.B.Shownson, whoso signature for identification is recorded below, is employed by tho Old Spanish Srail Association in membership and membership service work, with powers and limitations as follows: Field men are bonded by the American Surety Company of iiew York. Their expenses and other payments are remitted 'by regular OST cheeks from San Antonio. All collections by them must bo payable to the Old Spanish. Srail Association and remitted promptly to Headquarters at San Antonio, Field men are not authorised to indorse or convert to their own use checks and drafts that are issued for the benefit of tho Old Spanish Trail, but they are authorised to convert local checks at the local bank into a bank draft payable to the Old Spanish Trail Association for more convenient remittance to Headquarters. Field men are not authorized to negotiate or to enter into any agreements or contracts granting to them any personal interest. The Old Spanish Trail is not responsible for any personal checks cashed by its employee's. If an emergency arises and a personal check is offered friends are advised to use duo business caution. Fan holding those credentials, however, have qualified as trustworthy. As an aid to the field men, friends are urged to report any irregularities of any kind promptly to Headquarters. Occasionally we hear of men obtaining monoy by mis-reprosontiag thomsolvos as Old Spanish Trail workers. Those credentials terminate without notice, December 51, 1922.
