Dear Mr. Editor: You can render a great service to your State and country if you will assist in keeping up interest in the building of the Old Spanish frail Highway, which is destined, in the very near future, to be the greatest military highway in the United States, for border defense. To this end, we urge you to give notice in your paper, this week and next, that the Old Spanish Trail Convention will be held at Tallahassee on Friday and Saturday, May 18th and 19th, and request that each city and town in the State, whether located directly upon the old Spanish Trail Highway or not, send one or more delegates to the Convention. This Highway will be of the utmost importance to the State and the ration during war, and in time of peace will enable thousands of tourists to come in their automobiles, which will mean immense benefits to the State, commercially.
