Dear Sir: As requested by you, this letter is sent you as a confirmation of the action taken by the Board of Directors of the son Diego Chamber of Commerce at its meeting held on Thursday, September 21, 1922, in regard to the matters which you presented. It was agreed at this meeting that the San Diego Chamber of Commerce should contribute to the Old Spanish frail Association the sum of i)500.00, :-)250.00 of this sum to be appropriated from a special road fluid raised oy subscription from various civic organizations, and the remaining :')250.00 to be raised by a specially appointed committee of three. Permission was granted for the Old Spanish 'frail Association to establish an office in the rooms of the San Diego Chamber of Commerce without charge, and the Secretary of the San Diego Chamber of Commerce was directed to work with this office when established, and to further their efforts to the best of his aoility. He was also instructed to prepare, with your assistance, the necessary copy for your forthcoming publication and to prepare the photographic display to be sent to other cities on the Old Spanish frail. Yhe Board of Directors requested that you keep them informed through the Chamber's committee on publicity, tourists and conventions, of your activity and the success thereof, to the end that they might be able to justify the investment of the community's moneys in your Association. fhe Board of Directors also desired to congratulate you and the ____ Association which you so .bly represent upon your proposed publicity campaign, which they feel cannot help out be of great oene-fit to every city lying on your highway.
