Bear Mr. Thompson:
At a meeting of the Executive Board today the following con-elusions were reached:
It has Boon understood at least 4Q;o of the eastern monies would "be needed for Headquarters expenses, 40;S of the "‘4,862.50 you have turned in would he •’’‘1,945.00, whereas the balance to Headquarters, after deducting the monies paid to you and the route marker since January 1st, is hut 01,179.60. This is §765.40 short of the minimum allowance to Headquarters.
The record of the Eastern 3apartment, for the eight months you have "been in that Department, is as follows:

This §1,179.60 is spread over eight months. Wo not only are running into serious deficiencies involving two-thirds of the whole year, but tide means nothing for the necessary follow-up work which must ho done, before next year's income starts.
Tho money does not exist to send you into Florida. July 31st I wrote you the letter requesting you to test out the situation in West Florida. Much as we want Florida organised and marked ve cannot go ahead with this financial record. Our desire tc see you put across the work entrusted to you still exists. If you can come back over your route and pick up money equal to your expense and Headquarters requirements it will help keep you at work.
The Board also desires to know if you could take up the membership work from Orange to Son Antonio. If you could put that thru with reasonable promptness, Pratt could quickly go over the route and get out a new service map. The present edition of the San Antonio—Orange Service Map will be exhausted in two or three weeks. These maps are proving very popular.
The Board also asks that you have the committee at Mobile submit over proper signatures just what can be depended upon from Mobile and when. It is felt this request should be made more properly to the committee thru you, and it would probably be proper to explain to the ’committee that having kept you there eight weeks at a cost of §600.00 is rather serious expense and that we can no longer justify its eon-
