Dear Mr. Ayres,-
Enclosed I am sending you a petition signed hy the citizens of Schulenburg, protesting against changing the name of the Old Spanish Trail.
Not alone in merely signing this petition, every signer expressed decided opinions against making the change.
I also enclose a letter from General Wolters, offering suggestions.
I do not "believe there would "be found one person along the entire length of the Trail who would want the name changed.
I expect to be in Austin next week and will try to see Mr. Ferguson or the Governor personally.
