I have just seen the mimeographed statement issued hy Messrs. Julius Dupont and W. B. Gill of Louisiana, dated April 29th, 1929, which states there is much criticism of the Old Spanish frail and its director in 'Vest Texas /and that practically all towns have no faith whatever in the value of the association to the highway% I wish to state ’Vest Texas towns are loyally interested in the Old Spanish Trail and are supporting its work. Also that we never even have thought of withdrawing from the association. The statement specifically says Junction, Texas has withdrawn. My residence and Business in Junction. We have always paid our quotas End have never had any other thought. The plans of the West Texas Hill Country Organization as "being formulated all contemplate full cooperation with the Old Spanish Trail Association. The statement of Messrs. Dupont and Gill is wholly without foundation. Yours very truly, Bmil Loeffler, Chairman Old Spanish Trail Hill Division. Juntion, Tex. To Harral Ayres, Managing Director, San Antonio, Texas.
