While he is one of those fellows who are absolutely straight as- a string at the same time he is human nd he will more than likely favor our proposition; while on the other hand we had Hale to fight all the time because he was formerly county engineer of Kleberg County and was pledged to do all he could to secure the major designation for Corpus Christi and Kingsville. Hale has bean transferred to Houston and I am glad to see he is going without any hard feelings toward myself or the OST. In fact, he has just recently taken a notion that he really needs my friendship since this last meeting of the Highway Department. Go I don't anticipate any trouble whatever in the Houston division, in fact I think he will be the OST's frijnd.

Just read a statement in the paper to that effect this morning.
