official trail route between said places., and that official route to run as follows: ’From Mobile direct to Pensacola and from thence to Milton, Florida, and then to Crestview. 1 This resolution is to establish in the official records and maps hereafter published what now is the fact indeed, namely, that this direct route through Pensacola is the most practical, leading to a first class caravansary in Pensacola, as well aa to the Old Spanish-Fort, San Carlos, and the present forts and Navy Yard of the United States, and the largest hydro-airplane school or station in th3 United States, ocular inspection of which should not be ■ missed by Spanish Trail tourists.*' A Resolution introduced by XI. E. Lea, Orange, Texas. "Fliereas, other highway projects occasionally try to claim routing over sections of the Old Spanish Trail and by one method and another they seek or secure financial support from communities in the section claimed, and Whereas, there is only one road to be developed and nothing can be gained by several highway associations trying to do the same thing and the communities themselves suffer when they attempt to ’ financially support more than one highway effort, therefore-. Be it Resolved, that all communities along the Old Spanish Trail and its natural tributaries be urged to recognize the fact that thin highway has its own organization for developing its interests, and' for serving its communities,-and that support should be concentrated behind the Old Spanish Trail Association for the best advantage of all concerned and that no support be given to other projects seeking to duplicate effort." The Old Spanish Trail welcome's, all other highways that feed into the Old Spanish Trail ayetera and it cheerfully recognises these highways in their districts. By the same token when these other .highways reach the Old Spanish Trail their identity ceases.
